Augusts Brigmanis

MP of the 11-th Saeima (the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia). Born in July, 1952.The most permanent Party Chairman of LZS during the period of regained independence as leading the party since  the year 2000. Following the triumph of the Union of Farmers and Greens (ZZS) in the 8-th Saeima elections in 2002 he has remained the lasting leader of the Saeima ZZS fraction and the position is still his within the acting Saeima. By specialty Augusts appears to be  agriculturalist, he is the owner of a pretty large farm at his dwelling place – the Pūre Rural District. Augusts is married, a father of three children.
